Sampling Method and Study Design: All adult women in three rural areas approached with an initial background questionnaire which also covered schooling of children and technology available (conducted verbally with an interviewer); a random sample of 30 women in each village and all women leaders in these villages and their husbands asked an attitudes toward technology questionnaire; these sampled women were also asked to complete time budget for the first 14 hours of the day after they awoke; budgets were completed for the women leaders from direct observation; in one of the three zones, three time budgets also given to men for comparison; diaries collected during three seasons
Sample Size: Over 100 adults completed multiple diaries
Response Rate: Not relevant as not a fully random sample
